With the application process in full swing we still try to find some quiet time to enjoy these 2 gorgeous sweet adorable babies. Make mental pictures, imprint their cute antics on your mind. How cute they are with Lotte, how Lotte in her 14th year has blossemed with these 2 constant bugging her, in the end she gave in and started playing with them, teaching them about squirrels, how to bark at the postman and how to sneak away a juicy bone.
We have been swamped with applications for Lass, she apparently appeals more to people than sweet mama's boy Fynn, but that's okay I'm in no hurry for him to leave the nest. He's such a cuddle bug and Lotte is crazy about him that the idea of him staying with us is more and more appealing. People will need to be really crazy about him and think he is the cutest, most adorable pup ever before we will even consider a meeting.
Lass has found a wonderful adoptive home that we are really excited about and so is her adoptive family. If all goes as planned she will move to Bend this weekend, to a couple with 2 other dogs, Australian X BC and an Australian, she will go with them hiking, packing with the horses, camping and go with them on the job as a wilderness ranger. Basically being spoiled rotten, so much that I was wondering if I could put myself up for adoption!! What more can you want for a pup? I will be forever grateful to them for providing a loving forever home for her, as rescuer you fret about what home will be suitable for your pup, you don't know how they will develop as an adult dog and matching a pup to a home is much much more difficult than matching an adult dog to a new home.
But I feel that in Lass' case we did manage to check off all the boxes we had on our list for her.
If we could find the same kind of home for Fynn my mind would be at ease. Until than he will stay safe in his mama's home with his big old grandma sister Lotte and his Dad Waldo.
If perhaps you do feel that you can meet our ridiculous high standards that we have set for these new homes and think that your life would be so much richer and exciting with Fynn in your life than hop over to the Pacific NorthWest Border Collie rescue website, and click on 'Oregon Dogs' and you will see Fynn listed. Click the button to fill out and application for Fynn and I will get back to you soon.
Click here to to there now.
Fynn will have some people coming to meet him this weekend but we would like to find him that home that falls head over heels in love with him and will spoil him rotten.
Will post new photo's tomorrow of Lass and her new parents!
